The images are all professionally edited (meaning color correction, cropping, and basic distraction removal).
As a lifestyle photographer, I focus on capturing more authentic moments, and embracing the natural light. The session is both relaxed and fun, with gentle direction to ensure the best results.
What if my kids (or dad) aren't into picture taking? That's okay! We're here to have fun. With 10 years of teaching 1st and 2nd graders, I have a whole list of creative prompts and games to get the whole family involved.
Having lived in Kihei, Paia and upcountry, I am familiar with many beautiful and unique locations to make your family's vision come to life! We can shoot at almost all the beaches, parks or upcountry.
Let me know what location you would prefer through the contact page, or questionnaire after booking.

For a family photo shoot, opt for outfits that are coordinated, comfortable, and timeless. Here are some tips:
1. Coordinate colors: Choose a color palette that complements each other without being too matchy-matchy. Neutrals like white, beige, gray, or soft pastels work well.
2. Avoid busy patterns: Large or loud patterns can be distracting in photos. Stick to solid colors or subtle patterns that won't overpower the image.
3. Consider the location and season: Dress appropriately for the setting and weather. If it's outdoors, consider layers for warmth.
4. Comfort is key: Make sure everyone feels comfortable in their outfits, especially children. Avoid clothing that's too tight or restrictive.
5. Keep it timeless: Avoid trendy clothing that might look outdated in a few years. Opt for classic styles that will stand the test of time.
6. Accessorize sparingly: A few well-chosen accessories can add interest to your outfits, but don't overdo it. Simple jewelry, scarves, or hats can be nice touches.
7. Hair and makeup: Keep hair and makeup natural and flattering. Avoid drastic changes or heavy makeup that might not translate well in photos.
8. Try on outfits beforehand: Make sure everyone's outfits fit well and look good together by doing a trial run before the photo shoot.
I use top-of-the-line camera equipment (Nikon camera, 24-70 f2.8 lens, speed lightflash for sunsets), and advanced editing software. All images are shot in RAW for the highest quality.
